FREMONT,
Calif. – January 9, 2006 – Plextor®
Corp., a leading developer and manufacturer of high-performance
digital media equipment, today announced the appointments
of two new vice presidents. Peter J. Schwartz joins Plextor
as Vice President of Marketing and Business Development,
with responsibility for the marketing strategy for CD-
and DVD-Recordable drives and ConvertX products. He will
also seek to develop new product offerings and business
opportunities that leverage Plextor’s product development
and manufacturing capabilities.
Plextor
also announced that longtime Plextor executive Michael
T. Arbisi was promoted to Vice President of Channel Sales,
with responsibility for channel sales and marketing efforts
for CD- and DVD-Recordable drives and ConvertX products
in the Western Hemisphere.

Peter
Schwartz brings to Plextor more than 15 years of knowledge
and experience in digital media technologies and markets.
He was most recently VP, Worldwide Sales & Marketing
at Indigita, where he led the rollout of High Definition
DVR and home A/V networking products. He has also held
management positions at TERK Technologies, Western Digital
Corporation, and Multiplex Technology. Schwartz holds
a BSEE from Cal State Polytechnic and an MBA from USC.
Michael Arbisi's employment with Plextor spans more than
10 years, and he has two decades of overall experience
in the information technology and consumer electronics
industries. Before joining Plextor, Arbisi held technical
and management positions with National Semiconductor and
Tech Data. Arbisi holds a BS in marketing from the University
of South Florida.
